The rooftop landscape design has been developed to provide functional, inviting, and low-maintenance communal spaces that enhance the urban living experience for residents. The design balances greenery with social amenity, offering a versatile rooftop retreat with layered planting and integrated seating.

Design Intent:

Community Focus: The rooftop features a central communal area designed to encourage social interaction. Key inclusions such as a fixed bar table with stools, a plumbed BBQ, and bench seating cater to both casual gatherings and private relaxation.

Greening the Urban Canopy: A mix of evergreen and deciduous trees, shrubs, grasses, and groundcovers have been proposed to create year-round interest and soften the built form. Planting across multiple levels (including planters on levels 3–7) extends the visual and environmental benefits of greenery throughout the development.

Terraced Informal Seating: Subtle level changes and terraced planter walls create informal seating zones, adding functionality and aesthetic depth while responding to rooftop levels and drainage requirements.

Shade and Vertical Greening: An architectural arbor with climbing plants adds vertical greenery and provides dappled shade, contributing to a comfortable microclimate.

Sustainability and Access: All planting areas utilise raised planters with adequate soil volume to support healthy plant growth. Synthetic turf and permeable paving are included for ease of maintenance and stormwater permeability.

This rooftop design delivers an engaging, practical, and visually appealing green space that complements the architecture and supports wellbeing, sustainability, and social connection within this urban residential development.
